Reception Hall? I had never heard of CLM before (I was also very new to the area). I saw a big sign for it one afternoon while driving down montauk hwy and decided to take a look.

A friend of my aunt's who has become a friend of my mom's mentioned the Woodlands to us because she had had a fundraiser there. We had never heard of it, but we loved it as soon as we saw it.

When I was researching different catering halls on LI, it was on the list. Plus I'd passed by it lots of times on Jericho Tpke. and seen ads for it. And some of my friends had talked about it in college because one of the societies had their end of the year formal there.
I wasn't even going to check out FT because I though it would be out of my price range! But it wasn't! I'm so glad I did (my brother insisted I just go in and look, and he was right!)

I saw an ad for it in LI Wedding pages & laughed saying there is a place in Hampton Bays that does weddings?? I had driven past the place hundreds of times...haha

my sister went there when she was engaged the first time. what we loved about it was that they have a package deal for people on a budget

I initially found mine online through the many web searches..... and wasn't impressed with the website, didn't find any reviews on the place, so we weren't really interested in seeing it...
Then a few weeks later my mom mentioned a friend of hers just went to a wedding at this place called 'Sans Sushi' (she continued to call it that til my wedding day) and they raved about the place, so I had to take a look! Good thing I did!

DHs dad insisted that we go to CB. I had been there before for a sweet 16 and it was very close to where I grew up. But all the credit really goes to my FIL

I had never heard of CLM either. My mom suggested it. She bought me a magazine that listed all the catering places on Long Island.
