so im trying to pick pictures for my album, i only get 80. i dont know where to begin!
someone had suggested doing a certain amount of each part of the day, for example, 3 getting cake cutting, 3 first dance, etc....
did any of you do anything similar or find something better that works?
this is sooo overwhelming....picking just 80 out of 800 pictures

I have heard that also and used it in part to select my pics.
Often I have also heard that the album should tell the story of the day so you would want to try to get pics from each major part of it but maybe more pics for that which is more important and one for things you want to remember but not highlight. hope that makes sense.
we had 80 pics and they accumulate fast.
we started with about 120 that we really liked and then just kept looking at them to see what we could leave out, look for ones with similarities and remove those etc.
my album pages in photo album if that might help you.

Re: how did you pick pictures for your album?
I am working on this right now and it's so hard!! I separated my proofs into categories (ceremony, reception etc) and I get 60 pics out of 860 total...from there I just hope to narrow down. I don't know of any better way (I wish I did!) other than choosing more and paying more lol!! (Do you scrapbook? If you do then you can console yourself by remembering that you can put all the pics you like in a scrapbook -that's what I am telling myself lol! )!
I am also shooting my photog an email about layouts...for example, I want my flowers to be the entire background of one page. I might want my shoes and our ring box pics (our wedding rings came in a heart-shaped box) to be laid on top of the flowers if that makes any sense lol...I don't want my album to be the old-fashioned type with just one pic on each page.
