How different is married life?

So many people said to us 'oh just wait until your married everything changes'.......when does that happen?
Anyone else not have major change?
DH and I have lived together for years, shared a bank account, cars...etc. The only difference is my name and he now wears a ring.

agree with u.....married life isnt much different for us at all....we do live together now which was a transition but HE has adjusted we have been together for 12 yrs soooooooo not many things that could change that shouldnt have already ya know?

We only moved in together a few months before the wedding. But not much changed. Every time someone asks me 'How is married life' I always say it's the same, other than the fact that I have to cook and clean now!

We are just happier.....because there isn't anymore stress from Wedding planning!!!!

We are just happy and content with each other!
Married life is just wonderful.

Same here...

We're like you, no major changes!! We lived together before we were married but waited until after the wedding to join bank accounts and stuff like that. But it still wasn't a big change, just my name really!! Tho we did move, buying a house is much different than renting an apartment; but that's regardless of whether or not we were married.

Now we here stuff like 'oh, you just got married, you've only been married for a year, wait until you've been married for a few years, you'll see'. I think it's just people putting their $.02 in where it doesn't belong, don't pay them any attention.

I feel like a completly different person since our wedding. It's a feeling that is really hard for me to explain. DH and I lived together for a year before the wedding, but after the wedding I really gained a greater appreciation for my new life with my husband. I have been happier, and am willing to compromise more than I used to.

Although it could also be that we were engaged and planning a wedding for over a year and a half and that feeling of happiness was really the feeling of relief from not dealing with the wedding stres anymore!

My husband and I lived together for a little over 6 years before we got married. We bought our house in 2004, To be honest nothing really changed except my last name and the fact that we wear our rings when we go out....There is something different though, I think more so emotionally. I feel more connected with him....otherwise, life is really the same...lol

It hasn't changed for us, but to everyone else it has!!!! Now that we're married people are always saying how's married life, hi mrs. meyer, where's/how's your husband........I know they mean well but whenever someone asks how married life is it almost feels like a test. Like we're supposed to say it's amazing or it's awful instead of it feels the same. I guess the only thing that's changed is that at work we used to mummble love you because we felt like it wasn't right to say it since he is a supervisor, but the 1st night we worked post wedding he was in his office and I was walking outside and I heard him say rather loud.....good evening sexy I love you. I turned around my face turned bright red and I said you can't say that what if someone hears you? He just laughed and said who cares we're married now! I guess it is ok now.....

Not much different---just feel so HAPPY and blessed to have DH as my family.
