Re: How do we change our names?
You really have to wait until you get your married license to change most things....
DMV, Social Security and your passport require seeing your original marriage license or a certified transcript of marriage from the County Clerk. The bank also wants to see your original marriage license, plus, if you changed addresses, they want to see proof of your new recidence, ie. utility bill, etc.
Credit Cards are the easiest thing to do. Most of them you can do over the phone, or even online.
Then there are other little things like Paypal accounts, BJs/Cosco type memberships, gym memberships...

Re: How do we change our names?
I did SS first. Then I did DMV. I would also make sure that if you have direct deposit for your pay checks, that you change your name at work BEFORE you change your name at the bank. I tried to do it the other way and the bank actually told me to wait. Banks can do a name change immediately whereas an HR department may have to wait a pay period or two before paper work is changed and appears on everything.

im thinking of waiting for the summer after i get my summer check to change everything... that way things wont be as crazy at work... maybe if i wait long enough, when students scheduled go out it will still have my maiden name on it!! and i can have one more year with my maiden name!!
since i booked the HM the whole time they called us mr and mrs my last name and him MR my last name... it was awesome!!!!
