How do you change your name for voting?

I voted this morning before work ... but my voting information is still my maiden name. I've changed my name in everything else, how do I change it with this? Does anyone know? Thanks!

There is an application online that you can fill out and mail in. The web address is:

i called the nassau county bd of elections
they mail u a form.....

They will mail you an application or a form, and you just fill it out. I had to change my name as wel as change in address, then they will send you a card stating where you will be voting.

Did you ask someone when you were there? I let them know my name was changing, and she just filled in the old and new name - it actually seemed too easy! lol

Maybe you could go back this evening?

Hopefully I won't run into any problems next time...

they gave me the option to change my voter registration when I changed my license at the DMV. Don't know if they do it that way in NY as well.

Thanks everyone, I will have to call or when we move and I need to change my address, I will hopefully have the option at the DMV!

Teri, I will be at school tonight, so I won't be able to go back to the polls. That's why I voted before work!

I just changed my name at DVM and at the bottom of the application was a form to update your voter registration. I updated my address and name - Did you change your license yet?

when I went to vote...they couldn't find my name (I never changed it)...so they looked under my married name and it was there!!

HHHMMMMMM I went to vote and my info was still under my maiden name. My license is changed but not that.
