How does this sound?

for a thank you card?

'We are so happy that you were able to share our special day with us. Your warm thoughts and wonderfully generous gift are truly appreciated. Please accept our sincerest thank you for helping us celebrate the beginning of our new life together.'

Is this too long or too short? Too wordy? I want it to sound sincere.

Are you supposed to list the gift received?

Re: How does this sound?

It sounds good. I usually mention the specific gift if it's anything but money. 'Thank you for the lovely wedding present. The vase will look beautiful in our new home.' (or something similar) A lot of ours were pretty generic though!

Re: How does this sound?

Sounds nice, I also included anything funny or specific the guest did at the wedding. I saw you dancing to JLo, so glad you had a great time!

Re: How does this sound?

It sounds good, but we tried to add something personal to each note. You're hand writing this right? I'm not a fan of pre printed thank yous.
