How long did it take...

To get your marriage license? I am starting to worry that we aren't really married. It has been 10 weeks and we haven't received ours yet. Should I call about it and who would I call?

Re: How long did it take...

That seems like a long time. We had ours waiting for us when we got back from our HM.

Call the officiant to make sure that he sent it out.

Re: How long did it take...

You should have had it back already. I would call your officiant and make sure that he/she sent in the appropriate paperwork!

Re: How long did it take...

I waited a LONG time for it and I finally called City Hall to see what happened. They told me that they tried to send it to my parents house, but since it was addressed to Mr. & Mrs. King, it was rejected... My maiden name is Dodd.... so apparently the post office rejected it because it was a different name. I was annoyed, but relieved to finally go and pick it up. I would call City Hall where you originally got it from to see.
Good luck!

Re: How long did it take...

Definitely check into that. We got it as soon as we got home form the honeymoon. While we were away they forgot to get my social secuirty number and had to call my mom to get it. So we joke around saying how we weren't married while we were on the honeymoon.
