How long did it take to get your marriage license in the mail?

I haven't gotten mine yet...and I can't change anything without it. I wanted to add DH to my health insurance and begin the tedious process of changing my name on everything. Thanks.

Ours took 1 week, our rabbi told us he mailed it out the day after the wedding. We were shocked it came so fast. I think it also depends on the time of year u get married, if there are alot of weddings then there are a lot more of them there to process.

Thanks ladies. I emailed the Cantor who did the ceremony...and I asked DH to call the clerk's office. I'll track it down!!! LOL.

it was waiting for us when we got back from the HM....who mailed it back after your officiant signed it?? Ours had to be mailed back within 5 days of the wedding!

Hi there!

Our officiant mailed the application after our ceremony, and the day after we got home from our honeymoon, out marriage certificate was there! I'm not sure how long it takes, but we had it about two weeks after the ceremony - hope you get yours soon!!

Mine came when I was away, it was mailed out on the 26th. I only got back yesterday, so I'm off to make my changes tomorrow!

Mine never came after 3 months of waiting. So we called and it apparently had been sent back to city hall because the last name was not recognized. Meaning I had it sent to my parents house whose last name is Dodd and since my married name is King, they didnt acknowledge that I lived there.
You would think they would have called to let me know!!!

It was in our pile of mail upon our return from our Parisian honeymoon in France. We went to Paris, France for 11 days and we already received it! Glad to be Mrs!
