how long did it take to receive your marriage certificate??

we still haven't received ours.....my priest was really forgetful, so I'm just hoping he sent it in!

We had ours in a week but I know thats unusual. I think they said about 6-8 weeks

Hey sweetie!! I am sure your priest didn't forget, since we didn't get ours yet either!! Good old Queens County for ya!! Gotta love 'em! I'll let you know when I get mine. Let's pray for it to come today!! I wanna chnge my name already!!

I'd give it another week or so before asking town hall. I remember feeling like ours took forever to come in!

When I didn't have mine when I got back from the honeymoon, I was CONVINCED our priest didn't mail it in. Ultimately, it took about a month (probably 5 weeks) to come, I think... If it takes more than 5 or 6 weeks, I'd give town hall a call to make sure they received it. It's annoying if you're waiting around to change your name! I was so excited to do that and I had to wait what seemed like forever!

our certificate came in SUPER fast---it coudln't have been mailed in until monday the 26th--when we got back from our HM -- we saw the post mark on the envelope said the 27th!!!!!

I got mine when I returned from my honeymoon. It was sent out 4 days after my wedding!!!!!

Ours took just a little under 2 weeks.

my priest was just as much a pain in the backside as urs so just to put ur mind at ease....we didnt get ours until a good month after the wedding.....and someone told me and i dont know if its true but the church or place in which u had ur ceremony is under the law to mail it in within the week of the marriage soooooooo he HAD to mail it in....the wait is not from his end but from the lovely city in which we live in
