How long did you wait to have your dress cleaned?

I was staring at my wedding dress hanging in my closet this weekend and thinking about how its about time that I get it cleaned. I got sad for a moment--how I don't think I'll ever wear it again, how pretty it is, etc., but then I went back to how I've been feeling lately. I just want to get all of the remaining wedding related items finished--pick our photograph album, get our thank you cards, send thank you cards to certain vendors, etc.

So how long did you wait to have your dress cleaned? Is it vaccum-sealed in a box or hanging in bag?

I had mine cleaned about 6 months after the wedding. It is in a box and I am supposed to take it out each year and then rebox it.

It was dropped off the Monday after the wedding by my parents. I wish I would have tried it on one last time.

I'm thinking I may try it on one more time before I drop it off. Then I guess it will go back into the closet.

I am still waiting to have it cleaned, almost 8 months later!! I am one lazy newlywed!! One of these days, I will eventually get it cleaned!!

My MOH took it from the hotel & dropped it off for me while we were on our HM. It is sealed in a box.

Wish I could see it & try it on again.

I took it when I got back from my honeymoon...it took about 3 months to get it back.
