I took chicken out to defrost yesterday afternoon and never got to cook it. It has been in the fridge 'chill room.' (seriously, the compartment has 'chill room' written on the door). I really don't feel like cooking tonight, DH is working late at a closing, but I don't want to waste it.
Can I cook it tomorrow?

I wouldn't see why not. DH will take meat and cook it up to 5 days later all the time. After that I make him throw it out just incase. MIL always says that it will be good in the fridge for up to a week, but I never do.

As long as it's refrigerated and you didn't leave it out and then put it back in, you should be okay to cook it tomorrow.

Since it was frozen solid, it's probably just defrosted and totally preserved. When you open it up, just smell it first. Bad chix has a very distinctive smell. You'll know right away

my mom always says that chicken has a 'funny little way' of telling you its not OK to eat it. If there is any type of smell then no- but i would say it's fine!!!
