How long does it take...

To get your official Marriage License in the mail? I really want to go to social security before school starts and I feel like I have been waiting for a long time!! I know I am impatient but I so want to get it over with!

We just got ours last week, so 6 weeks for us.
But it can come sooner than that too, I think it depends on how busy they are.

Ours was waiting for us when we returned from our honeymoon, so a week and a half for us.

If you got it in the city, it takes MUCH longer. I finally called and got a human being on the phone and she processed it for me early. She said it would have taken weeks if I hadn't reached her.

I got it from the town of Hempstead. The church mailed it for us (I hope!). I'm thinking of calling the town of hempstead and seeing if it is being processed. Thanks for all of your help!!
