how long was your closing?

hey NWs... If you own a home, how long was your closing?

Well I was a loan officer so I processed our own loan. So by the time closing time came, we were in/out in 20 minutes. But I have heard other people say it can take an hour or so.

I'm hearing horror stories about 2,3,4+ hour closings on LIF... good lawd.. I mean, I know it has to be thorough, but still. My heart & nerves cant take that much!

It depends on what happens.

When I closed on a house with an ex of mine it took like four hours because there were some paperwork snags and other stupid things that we needed to take care of. Plus, little did we know, but our attorney (who is a friend of the fam) this was his FIRST closing lol so he was taking baby steps to get through it.

It was fine in the end and everything worked out -- It was annoying though and we were starving by the time we finally got out of there.

i think i top everyone off by my 6 HOUR CLOSING!!!!!!!

normally do not take that long.. but we went to do the walk through before the actual closing & all the sh*t they said they were gonna fix wasnt fixed... so we sat at the house for about 3 hours waiting for answers from their lawyers!!

but in the end, it worked out!!

Ours was pretty quick! It lasted about 1 and 1/2 hours!!

I'd say about an hour and a half also. If you don't hit any snags then all you have to do is sign a ton of papers, and that's it.
