Re: How many minutes were you late for your wedding (with poll).

I am a VERY punctual person, so I was ready on time, but we ended up being over an hour late for photos!! I was getting ready on Staten Island, where I lived, and my father was driving us out to LI. Well, of all days, the SSP was CLOSED due to an accident!!! So, after crawling on the belt, we hit a ton of traffic on Sunrise Highway. It was a mess!

Re: How many minutes were you late for your wedding (with poll).

I am NOTORIOUSLY LATE for everything so I was soooo proud of myself when I was in the limo by 3:50 for my 4:00 ceremony down the street. I was shocked when my guests told me the wedding started 15 minutes late! I didn't even believe them until there was a tell-tale photo of my walk down the isle with a clock in the background. - 4:15 on the nose. (doh!) I totally did not realize that I sat in the limo and waiting for guests that were still coming in for 15 minutes! Ooooops! : ) Plus it was POURING so that made everything take longer.

Re: How many minutes were you late for your wedding (with poll).

Actually our priest was 20 minutes late!!! He's a friend of ours from another parish and agreed to officiate in my home parish. He thought the ceremony started at 3:30 when it really started at 3. Then he got a bit lost trying to get to Elmhurst from Wantagh!! We can laugh about it now, but it wasn't so funny then....

Re: How many minutes were you late for your wedding (with poll).

I WOULD have been on time if a vendor (not makeup or hair) had not made me late. I don't know how late I was, though, because no one would tell me what time it was. I would FREAK OUT when I heard that we were late. I'm rather disappointed in this because it turned me into a bit of a bridezilla, and it took away from my ability to enjoy the party.

How late WERE we, Rebecca? You know better than I would! LOL!

I was 20 minutes late to my reception but it was the makeup that threw me off schedule. :0(

Re: How many minutes were you late for your wedding (with poll).

I was a 1/2 hr late- but no fault of mine. I was ready 2 hours ahead of time.... my MOH's zipper broke on her dress... so we were scrambling to fix it. It all worked out-

Re: How many minutes were you late for your wedding (with poll).

I was 15 minutes late due to my photographer and traffic!! I was annoyed because I didn't want to seem like I was being disrespectful to my husband (then Fiance).

Re: How many minutes were you late for your wedding (with poll).

I was late because I had the same person doing my hair and make-up AND my mom's hair and make-up AND she had to redo the front of my mom's hair because it looked terrible AND I live in Brooklyn AND there was traffic on the Belt Parkway AND the Southern State( what else is new?). My DH kept calling my cell asking when was I going to get there and I was going to kill him because that kept making me more nervous.

If I am not mistaken I think my ceremony started late BUT it is over with and now, as of today I am happily married for 6 months.
