How many of you put pics inside your thank you VS having special cards with pics on the front made?

just curious -

I didn't get any wedding pics back yet and I won't til December so I am feeling really guilty about not sending my TY's out yet - although we already paid bills and bought new furniture with our gifts!

A friend took a table pic which I really love and I was thinking of having it made into 2x3s and putting inside a regular wedding TY card.

Should I wait for the pro pics to come in? I feel so guilty...

Use whatever pic you want! You may like the one that your friend used better anyway. While I was waiting for my TY pics (which took a long time too BTW), I converted a table camera pic to black and white and printed them up on Shutterfly. They came out awesome! I sent these to people who didn't come to the wedding. To this day that is one of my favorite pics!

Our photo was imprinted on the card itself from our photographer. Personally, I think thank you card with a window for a slot to slip-in a wallet size photo is just way too old fashioned. Who do you think will actually carry your thank you photo in their wallets? Every time when I receive a wallet size photo of a couple after attending their wedding I put it in a box or in my drawer for years and years. I rarely carry wallet photos in my purse of another couple. We did not order wallets but were compensated for more photos in our album instead.

To each their own. Just my 2 cents.

I only got married 3 weeks ago but I plan on putting the pic in the card.

I use the pictures your friend took if you really like it and just put it inside the cards. I put my card inside the thank you as well. Although I llike the picture cards I like to have the pictures better because I like to put them up on my fridge!

I ordered TYs that matched the invites and they had a picture hole in them...but then I realized that a wallet would be too small for the hole...so I took the table camera pics and made duplicates of pictures that had our guests...and put that picture in the hole...and then just slipped the wallet in with it...


so I think non-professional pics are great for TYs..

I designed the card cover with a few pics from the day knowing that most people are not going to keep a wallet size photo of us anyway. (people who would want photos of us got larger ones anyway). I did include copies of photos of the guests inside the cards (so if joe and jane took a photo of themselves at the wedding, they got a copy of it). I think that was more valued than having a photo of us anyway. And with all that it was still CHEAPER than having the standard slip in thank you.

I did the standard picture in the card. I also used the standard cards the photographers give. I wanted to get something prettier to put them in but didn't find anything I liked and thought it was more impt to thank than wait around to find paper I liked. I prefer to get a picture thank you than the cards so I did what I liked (I keep them all in an album.). The cards are very pretty too but I just prefer having a picture.

we had a card with our pix on it. But if its bothering you so much then do it. You can get them re-printed at shutterfly dirt cheap.

I gave Jannshari a Thank you Card and really good truffles.. but then again I only had to thank one person so it was easy! hehe

We had our photo imprinted on the card itself to make it very unique. We choose not to have our photo inside our card where it was a wallet size slip in photo because honestly, how many people carry photos of a couple in their wallets?

We did the picture right on the card, we didn't care for any of the cards they had where you slip the wallet size pic into.
