How many of you share 1 bathroom?

DH have had many arguments this week about sharing our one bathroom! I hate it! We need a place with two, but this wont happen for a long time. Since he switched jobs it seems we both need to be in there at the same time in the mornings! Neither one of us wants to get up extra early either. I only have a week left before summer break, but how do I solve this problem now????

Dh and I shared one when we rented an apartment the first year but it never ended up that we both needed to be in there at the same time.

The compromise that comes to mind is that you take turns being the one to get up earlier, like alternate weeks. Since you only have one week left before your break, you could either do every other day or you could be the one to get up early for this week (since you'll be able to sleep in soon anyway) and then in September he can take the first week getting up earlier.

I am the one that should get up early since I will be on vacation soon. But when the fall approaches I know this will come up again. We will have to take turns. Which is easier said then done in the morning when we both dont want to get up! LOL

We have one bathroom also and are constantly fighting for it at the same time. He gets up before me but constantly has to use the bathroom while I am trying to get ready.
Hopefully one day when we can afford a house we will get one with more then one bathroom.

We do, and get up at the same time.

He always waits for me to finish. I am always running late and I have to be on time for work, he doesn't- a few minutes doesn't matter as much to him.

We share, but it's not an issue. We go to work at very different times and all I do in there is brush my teeth and shower. Hair and make up are done in bedroom

We actually have two bathrooms but we still share the MB bath for showering, etc and it's really not a problem. DH is so quick showering, if I have to get up 10-15 mns earlier to accommodate, it's okay.

We kinda have have the same thing. I just need to shower and brush my teeth...I do hair/makeup in the bedroom. And, although we have 2 bathrooms (both with showers), we share the same one because it's easier since it is in the bedroom.

we share a bathroom at the same time in the morning...it is rough, especially because we are NOT morning people. one of us usally ends up brushing their teeth in the kitchen sink. DH takes forever in the shower, more time than me. God only knows what the heck takes so long so I know I have to get in there before him if I want to make it to work on time.

One bathroom here to - and theres 3 of us, me, hubby and my son. Theres usually never a problem, only when I am running late. I usually get up first and use it - Makeup and hair are done in bedroom also.

We share, but we go to work at completely different times so it's only a problem if we are going out. Then I take my shower first and start doing other getting ready stuff while he showers since I take longer.

Im shocked that so many people have trouble with this. There are three adults in my house (my brother is living with us) right now and we share one bathroom and we have no trouble. I guess its a product of always living in the city and never having more than one bathroom - but I always wonder what a couple needs more than one bathroom for!

We live in a one bedroom cooperative apt. We share one bathroom also. We take turns using it. When one takes a shower we don't lock it because the other might need to use the tiolet. During the work week we take turns going first to take a shower while the other sleeps for an extra 30 minutes. We compromise and work together as a team.

We share.
Im an evening shower type and he's a morning shower type.

I get to sleep in while he showers and brushes his teeth then I wake up and brush my teeth. Come back and comb my hair.

My only issue is a wet sink. I HATE that! He's learned how much it irrates me so he makes sure its dry before I go in.

No, we have three and a half bathrooms for TWO people, so the bathroom in the bedroom is 'his' and the one in the hallway outside of our bedroom is 'mine.' I get up earlier, so I go to the bathroom where I can make noise and not wake him up. We have two and a half bathrooms in the apartment we rented before we bought a house, so we each had our own bathroom then, too.

I don't like to share the bathroom. I grew up in a house with nine people and one bathroom, so now I like to hoard my bathroom time without sharing with anyone
