How many people were invited to your shower?

I am having a small-ish wedding (90 people) and so almost everyone who is invited I am close to. This makes the shower list like 50 people. Is that too many? I don't want this to be a burden on my MOH, BP, etc.

i had 60 people at the shower and i had 140 people at the wedding

I had 65 people at my shower and we are having about 180 people at the wedding.

90 were invited , 75 came.... our guest list for the wedding was 305, but luckily only 225 came.

ETS: And I wonder why I have all these events to go to.... between me and my parents, we know too many people!

I dont remember how many were invited but about 25 people came. My wedding was about 120 guests.

I think my shower was exceptionally small in comparison to most of the showers Ive been to and the one Im planning now. I dont have any female relatives so that cut the list down considerably.

Im sure whoever throws your shower understands that you have to invite certain people. Its up to her to decide if she wants to have it at the most expensive restaurant or a more inexpensive affair at home. Dont worry about it.

We had 90 guests at the weddinga nd the majority was from out of state, so for my shower only 25 could make it..

Dont worry about being a burden. They will work it out, with 50 people there are a number of places they could have it ..it doesnt have to be so expensive, plenty of ways they can cut costs and still have a fantastic shower!! Dont stress!!!

Almost any shower I've been to about 40-50 is the avg amount of guests. If you invite 50 expect 40-45 to show up.

I had 30 but I have alot of older relatives that did not come because of travel.

My friend had almost 100 at hers but I think her mom invited way too many. LOL
She made out like a bandit.

I had between 40-45 at my shower and our wedding we had about 115.

i had about 115 people at the wedding, all the women were invited to the shower, but only about 20-25 showed up b/c most were out of town. but lots of people sent gifts which was incredibly nice, but my poor sister had all that crap in her garage for weeks!

i dont think thats too many... I think we invited about 70 and had a little over 50 attend. i thought it was a nice amount of people.

I had two showers. My NY shower had about 50. My PA shower had about 20.

Hey there - sounds like what we did. Our wedding was relatively small, we had about 90 or so people there the day of (3 didn't show up) but I feel like my shower had almost as many people! My shower was in NJ, so a LOT more people came to that who did not come to my wedding since it was considered long didtance.... Whatever, I'm not bitter! :)

Anyhoo, there were about 50 people at my bridal shower, not sure how many were invited though. It was a nice size considering it was held at my friend's house, so my BP and fam only had to cover the catering, favors and gifts. I think 50 is okay, depending on the size of your BP they'll probably be able to split the costs between them and not have it be too expensive. Rememebr too that not all people invited are going to come, so if you are inviting 50, you might actually have less than that attend. Best of luck!!
