Re: How much did everyone pay
I used wedclean which was $99 plus insurance, etc..
The specialty places wanted upwards of $250 so that was not happening.

Re: How much did everyone pay
I did a full review on wedclean a while back, let me go find it. For some reason I cant find it. Will try later. Anywho:
My dress was also dirty on the bottom from being dragged around all over the NYC concrete and they got it clean. Not 100% brand new but clean.
Dont remember how long it took them to get the dress back. I sent it before Christmas and it took at least a month but maybe longer. I had an issue with them b/c i never got a confirmation email that they received it and when I tried to reach them to confirm, it took them a few weeks to answer me. In the end it was all ok and they profusely apologized for the overight.
I did get insurance for $1500. I didnt insure it for the entire retail value b/c it was no longer worth the retail price after wearing it. I figured if it were lost, I would be happy with $1500. I think that was $20 extra.
Didnt get any accessories cleaned.
My total was probably $130 or something...but I dont remeber the exact figure.
I just did wedclean from Stefs review...I finally just sent it out...but I don't know anything more than that...
it was $99 + some for insurance

Re: How much did everyone pay
I paid $150 at my local dry cleaner. I dropped it off 2 weeks after my 7/01 wedding, and just picked it up last month. They joked that they were going to start renting it out to brides if I didn't pick it up soon!! It now lives in the trunk of my car.

Re: How much did everyone pay
I think it was about $150.00 at my local cleaner.
That reminds me I have to get from my parents house before my Mom goes into one of her cleaning rampages.

Re: How much did everyone pay
FREE
We used VIP Tuxedos for the men's tuxes, and since we had 9 rentals, I got my dress cleaned, preserved and boxed for free. I dropped it off to them when I got home from our honeymoon and it took them about 2 months. I did open the box to peak at it to be sure, and it was clean (the bottom was very dirty before because or cocktail hour was outside) and nicely done. I was very happy and it was a huge savings.....

Re: How much did everyone pay
I used WedClean on Stef's recommendation as well, they did a great job, their customer service was outstanding (e-mailed me once they received the dress, while they were cleaning it and what they did to it, and then when it was done). I didn't do the insurance and everything was fine. The bottom of my dress was so dirty and they said they wouldn't compromise the material so it would be a little dirty still when I got it and it was MUCH better, barely could see any stains...I waited to get it clean and preserved too long I thought....maybe if I cleaned it right away those stains might have come out totally.

Re: How much did everyone pay
$50
We also used VIP Tuxedos and they cleaned and boxed it all up for me, along with my veil. My dress really wasn't that dirty, and it came back looking incredible. There was no damage at all to any of my beading, and they folded it so nicely in the window box that you can see the whole top half of my dress!
