Re: How much do you spend on Holiday Gift (Christmas, Eid, Hannukah,)
DH and I don't really shop for TOO many people ... we spend about $300 on my mom & brother alone ... and probably $150 on his entire family (parents & niece & nephew ... we don't exchange gifts with his brothers anymore) ...oh, and probably about $200 on buying each other's gifts ....
so about $650 total i guess.

Probably around a $1000 or more between both of us for everyone we need to shop for.

Re: How much do you spend on Holiday Gift (Christmas, Eid, Hannukah,)
Probably $200. DH and I rarely exchange holiday gifts. On DH's side: FIL doesn't celebrate the holidays, so I usually make him a huge platter of cookies. BIL and his girlfriend gave us gifts two years ago out of nowhere, so we gave them something last year and they were surprised we gave them anything...so to avoid confusion, we're just going out to dinner
. On my side: My siblings barely make any money, so we set a limit of around $20-40 so that no one feels bad about the price they spend. We usually like to get something a little nicer for my mom though (but still with a budget), so we usually spend around $100 for her.
The only thing we exchange w/ friends are cards and/or sweets.
And that's about it!

Last year DH and I had a $100 limit for the two of us.I think I generally spend.. maybe 300 but that's only for my mom and now DH. Everyone else is about $100 depending on who they are.

Here's our breakdown:My parents and sister: about $100 each
Nieces and Nephews: about $300 each x4
Friends: about $200 total
Aunts and Uncles: $20 each x4
Eachother: probably around $500 each
So total: about $2800 probably a little more.
