How much time do I need to get a marriage license

We are taking a day off from work, but we have so many things to do that day. Once we get to the municipal building, how long will it take to get the license?

Depends on where you go. We went to west heampstead (I think, sorry it's been a while) and it took about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour.
If you go somewhere in queens or in the city, it might take you much longer.
