Re: how often do you get a raise?!
The norm is to get a raise annually. The percentages depend on your position and the size of the company. I have noticed that larger companies tend to give between 3-6% whereas smaller companies tend to give up to 10%.
Good luck!! Also if there were any major changes in your job responsibilities I would make sure to include that.

Re: how often do you get a raise?!
I always get one annually. This year was pretty low but it was across the board for the whole company due to the economy. That is usually a 3 - 5% standard
Ive also gotten raises for taking on more responsibilities / promotions. Those have always been open for discussion.

Usually get a raise once a year (we are on lock-step salaries). But this year they had a salary freeze so no raises for anyone -- which is ok, as long as I get to keep my job!

Re: how often do you get a raise?!
we get our raises in December and they are merit based- you can get anywhere from 3-6%. Also in June they do promotions and those can be as much as a 10% raise. We are a medium-sized company with just over 300 employees

Re: how often do you get a raise?!
I have gotten 10%, 9%, 2% in the past. I just started with this company in September so no clue if they will be giving raises due to the economy. Our raises are performance based, not contract. I can technically stay at this salary for years.
The company of my part time job is not giving any raises this year. They have also cancelled their annual management meeting and are not giving out the annual bonuses.

Re: how often do you get a raise?!
I started this job in may. But they give raises every february. But this year no one got one cus of the economy and cus they ahd to do layoffs. Its not a huge deal- Im happy to have my job. But I hope I get a rasie next year! Especially if they can still afford to fly ceo's in first class for every trip! Or even get them private charters! I swear some of their trips are more than my entire salary!
Im lucky cus I was promoted instead of let go, but didn't get any sort of rasie but a lot more work (although I ahd been doing literally nothing before) so I hope I get a rasie next time around!

I've only ever been at one company that gives raises annulay and it was 3-6%. Other than that I've never worked for any other company that gave raises. You basically got a raise if you go promoted.

I agree. I get one every year. My company is pretty small so it ranges from 10-15%. I get about 5% at my old office which was very big.

3-6 % for city employee's not a great jump, but it's something. I try to get it annually, but not everyone is lucky.

How bout NEVER. I am always waiting around to get paid and I feel bad so I give so many discounts. Being self employed = no money.

Re: how often do you get a raise?!
I work at a non-for-profit agency and believe it or not raises are pretty decent!!!! I usually get around 4% yearly or based on merit. right now though there is a freeze on raises

Re: how often do you get a raise?!
We get cost of living adjustments...not raises. JMO, I don't really consider 2% a real raise because that's how much inflation goes up annually.
