Husbands 27th BIRTHDAY!! OPINIONS PLEASE :)

ok so sunday is my husbands 27th B-day. Its his first birthday married! Usually we dont do a big hooplah about his or mine, its usually just the two of us out to dinner or something nice and quiet.

for my last birthday (like 3 weeks after the wedding) he really planned the whole day and took me out to tavern on the green and a broadway show... I had the perfect day, and I could tell he worked really hard with the reservations and tickets, etc.

Sooo, this is my idea for his b-day. Sunday we will start our day normally, we'll wake up and go to church and I'll just tell him that we are going to dinner at night just me and him (to throw him off). Then my brother who is helping me plan this whole thing, will make sure to get all our friends and family (about 20 people total) to the apartment RIGHT AFTER church ends. He will set up the decorations, appetizers, drinks and everyone will be there ready to hide... then we'll walk in and SUPRISE!!!!

The reason why I want to do this bigger party is because he complains that he never see's his friends anymore (after the wedding he's had to work 2 jobs now) and so I want his birthday to be more than just me and him this year, I want his friends to be there, plus since we got married (4 months ago) we have never entertained, had friends over.

What do you guys think? is a suprise party to childish for a 27 yr. old? Since its always been just me and him do you think he'll like a bigger party? CAN I PULL THIS OFF??

I definitely think he'd love it!!! It's a great idea! I don't think a surprise party is childish for any age

Now I just have to make sure no one blows it... WHICH ALMOST HAPPENED.

We were driving in the rain and my husband's cousin called him (I invited him to the party) I put the phone on speaker next to his ear since he was driving and his cousin was like 'oh I have to work this sunday sorry i cant....'

I knew he was ABOUT to blow it so I took it off speaker phone and was like uhhh, he'll have to call you back its raining and its dangerous to talk on the phone'. DH was like whoa what was that for? that was mean that you did that... LOL.

Needless to say i called his cousin later and was like HELLLLLO didnt I say its a suprise?? IDIOT... he was about to say that he had work and couldnt make it to the party on sunday!!!

I am so stressed with final exams and keeping his party a secret.. I really hope it works out in the end and he's happy and it was worth it.
