does anyone still feel uneasy when their husbands go out to bachelor parties? Mine is going to one this weekend and I have been stressed out all week- not about him cheating b/c I dont think he would do that- just about the possibility of strippers and all that.... anyone else???

I wasn't worried. My husband and his friends went to a hockey game. Don't let it bug you. He loves you and is just going out with his friends.

Re: husbands and their friends' bachelor parties
I can get like that. I have stripper hang-ups and I admit it. DH went to one this weekend and I knew it was going to be a bad one. He admitted that himself.
I just found a friend and went out to dinner and took my mind off of it. It bothered me all week but that night I tried to be ok with it and didn't give him a hard time. I totally trust him - I just hate certain things I find degrading in general and hate that he was part of group that is like that.
DH went for the open bar and private room stripper thing but left when they decided to go strip club hopping. Actually three of the married guys left.

What exactly is worrying you?
Don't get me wrong, I am not happy when DH goes out to bachelor parties, but I don't really mind the whole strip-club boys-night-out thing for a b-party. Don't worry about it! Make plans to hang out with your friends that night...

It doesn't bother me at all as long as it is for a bachelor party. I think I would be more concerned if he and his friends just went to a strip club to hang out.

Personally, I find the thought of my husband at strip joint to be so funny that I think I would pay for the opportunity to see it. It doesn't make me uneasy at all.

it doesn't bother me at all. If you trust him completely, so what if he sees a naked girl?
DHs not into strippers - wanted none of that for his bachelor party. He's been to others that have had strippers, but so have I.

It doesn't bother me at all. My husband has been to a few bachelor parties, and I just look at it as guys night out.

Re: husbands and their friends' bachelor parties
To be honest it bothers me too. I tried to be the cool GF and now wife, but then I thought why should I, if it genuinely bothers me?? I guess it comes down to not wanting to be disrespected.
My DH does not make a habit of strip clubs or anything related, but there have been bachelor parties where there were strippers, and I'm sure there will be more.
I deal with it by: making it clear how I feel about the whole stripper thing, and at the same time understand that it's not my DH choice in most cases whether there is a stripper or not at the party. And I wouldn't want him to miss a party for a friend because I couldn't deal with it. I feel better if I'm not waiting on him to come home, so if there's an option for him to stay over with friends or something I encourage it. It's just something about him staying out super late when there are strippers involved. I rather not know the exact time he comes home.
I'm not sure this helps at all, but you're definitely not alone.
...but my friend is skeeved by it...b/c she thinks the girls are gross and doesn't want him touching them...
and..
I'm sure you know your men well...but DH has had friends (attached to women) do stuff with strippers...

I see nothing wrong with that at all, becasue I know huuby is out to have a good time and show the BACHELOR a good time, and that is all.

I can understand how you feel .. the whole thing really bugs me .. my thought is 'what's the point??' when you get to that point in a relationship .. I guess I find it disrespectful, especally considering some of the stories I have heard concerning guys who 'would never' .. but they did, with strippers who engaged in crowd participation. I'm sorry, but that is gross.

Re: husbands and their friends' bachelor parties
I would trust my husband if he wanted to go but lemme tell ya.. Those private back rooms at the clubs disturb me I have a male friend who works as a bouncer at a long Island Strip club. He also works the back rooms and he tells me that at this particular place, the girls ALL will do anything if the men want to pay the money. He says they usually pay about 500 for sex and he HAS to stay in the room with his back turned for HER protection.. the he gets about a 100 dollars from her 500. He says that it goes on in LOTS of the clubs..true he says that some girls dont do that.. but he says in about every club, some of them do.. Thats the part that disturbs me about strip clubs..not just seeing the nakid woman, but being in a place where stuff like that goes on. Have any of you ever been to a strip club? I went to one in the city and I know for a fact that this went on. I guess its all about trust

Re: husbands and their friends' bachelor parties
I dont find anything wrong with FH going to a bachelor party once we get married.
He used to be a bouncer in gentlemens clubs (he bounced in 'classy' places like flashdancers to dives near the 59th street bridge) and he told me what goes on in these places. It just boggles me why men would want to go there.
A few years ago there was this porn star Jasmine St. Claire dancing at a local place and a friend's wife of ours (who used to dance) knew Jasmine way before she was a porn star and wanted to surprise her. So we hopped on the harleys and about 20 of us when down to say hi. There were a few woman, including myself.
The place was nice (for a gentlemens club) and when I saw what goes on I said to FI wow so this is what goes on. He said yea. I just shrugged. its not a bad environment.
(and honestly half the woman there would be more interested in us then our DH's)

Re: husbands and their friends' bachelor parties
Hi guys Well its Monday and I lived through him going! I went out with my friends that night. I asked him to be honest with me about what happened, so get this one- they were at a house where there were 3 private strippers. The groom went into another room and paid for sex. Another of the dirtbags who just proposed to his girl on THURSDAY did the same. As did yet another one who is getting married this october. My husband swears he took no part in any of it, and I have to believe that. But in the back of my head, I know that all those guys swore the same things to their fiancees, and these girls believe them. So who is to say? It revolts me that my husband associates himself with such trash. But it goes to show what some people are really capable of.

Re: husbands and their friends' bachelor parties
My hubby is sooo funny. He came back from his bachelor party drunk and excited around 2am which I thought it was early but ok. He runs in the house and starts shaking me to wake up because he needed to tell me all about it. He starts telling me about how they drank and went to to strip clubs and stuff. At the second strip club his friends buy him a lap dance and my hubby starts telling me everything about this girl. He says he talked to her during the whole time and that she was really cool and we needed to hang out with her. He was like a baby just excited to tell me about the whole night and completely drunk.
