I am bored...survey...what type of weather makes for the worst commute?
Since they are predicting snow, which would make the worst commute?
I f'in hate ice...but i noticed that people forget how to drive quickly when it is snowing, or really just drizzling

I would have to say sleet and ice. I think when it's straight snow your tires have more traction than when it's all slick on the roads. I really don't like driving in any of the conditions you mentioned..rain, snow, or sleet.

Rain. People get stupid in the rain and the roadway gets slick from the oils on the surface. I think in snow people have a tendency to be a bit more careful. At least I don't have to drive - I commute by express bus into the city. That's how I met my husband. He was the bus operator.

I moved from LI 2 years ago and I found the snow was the worst especially people who thought they were smart and plow through then get stuck. What a sight! Now that I am in FL it is a tie for this time of year between the fog and snowbirds.

For me it's the snow. Because it sticks around for days after the storm & is annoying the whole week but for rain once it's done raining it's no problem anymore.

compacted snow / ice...... horrible, and some people think their trucks/suv's can defy the laws of physics and not lose traction on a solid sheet of ice, and drive 65, as if it's a sunny day

I hate driving in the ice; I can deal with snow. However, people on LI drive like morons in the snow. They either go 10 miles per hour in their sedan or 60 mph in the suv.

I hate the ice...snow does not bother me as much ~ I just hate driving in it (I drive slow and careful in the bad weather) i always have that one person who has to ride up my butt!

I would say snow.... when its FULL BLAST snowing...we slid on snow last year and almost rolled our SUV... VERY SCARY.
