I don't log on to often but I got over the wknd. I just logged on and got like 3 FM's about me removing something I might offend others ..
Now the question of the day Is.. 'Do i'?

I mean really it is freedom of speech right?

I know I don't post over here very often, but I did see the picture you posted and I thought it was extremely offensive. I honestly don't think you found it funny, did you?
It had nothing to do with you being a new member or you having a right to free speech, you were making reference to someone who should never be made light of. Does that make sense?

well i can see how that pic might offend some people on LIF--i think just about anything with hitler's image on it would bring offense.

i wouldn't necessarily report the image to be removed---but i probably wouldn't be happy to see it too much either.

I get your intentions. And I wouldnt have been offended.
Bush is not the most liked person in this world and neither is Hitler, theyre comparable in that way. I wont say anymore to avoid the political drama

I 100% understand the point you are trying to make. However, on the thread - you posted the picture alone and then did not make any explanation of it. You have a right to state your opinion but simply posting the picture shocked some people - which is why I believe it was pulled.

I do believe that we should be allowed to offend one another. I would never take away someone's right to post what they believe BUT that is not how these sites are run.

well thats why i get why you wouldn't see any offense about the pic itself......obviously you didn't do it to offend anyone......thats why i was saying i could see the offense about it from people on LIF. they probably didn't see any of what you meant behind it--they just saw someone that is a symbol of hate for them.

Well I can tell you that is not the way I saw it. I am Jewish and when I think of Hitler I think of how he exterminated millions of Jews, including many in my grandfather's family. And in my opinion, although I am unhappy with the way Bush has done things, you can't even begin to compare the two.
