I am so annoyed at my photographer!

So I get a call last night from my photographer's studio---my thank you cards are ready for pick-up! I get all excited that I can be done with this already. The guy then says, 'By the way, we upgraded your thank you picture from a 3 1/2' x 5' picture to a 5'x7' card.' He then goes on to rave about how nice it all came out, etc, etc, etc. So I'm thinking to myself that is is awesome! So I drag my DH all the way done to the South Shore to pick up the pics..........and when they opened the box so we could see them, I couldn't believe my eyes. The image was printed on cardstock-not even photo paper! The quality looked SOOOO grainy and pixelated (is that even a word?). It did not look like a real picture!

I was in denial at that point and didn't want to say anything but as soon as we walked out of there, DH says that he thinks the picture is horrible and we cannot possibly send that to our families and guests. So as soon as we got home, he called and spoke to the guy and voiced our dissatisfaction. So the guy said we could keep the cards and they can print up another 4'x6' picture for us to include with each card. I mulled it over last night and I kept looking at the horrible card and you know what? I'm not happy with that. I want what I ordered and paid for, plain and simple.

At this point, I think I'd just rather go to Kodak gallery and create my own thank you cards, the way I want them.

ask them for the hi res file & use Winkflash. That's what we did & they came out gorgeous for under $1 a card.

oh my gosh - what a pain i am so sorry u hafta deal with that! do what caroline said and dont even bother having them do it again..u'd eventually get what u paid for, but it's SO not worth the stress or the time it's going to take..

Wow !! I would be so pizzed !! I hope it works out for you and I would fight for what you paid for

i would be angry too, hopefuly the new ones will come out better if not ask for your money back

that's awful! cardstock paper quality!?! def go with your gut and demand the card you paid for!

I am so sorry that they did this to you. He should have asked if that was what you wanted and not bragged that they came out awesome when in fact that they didn't.

Um no. Why would you want 4x6 pics to include with the horrible cards????? Tell the photog that you want what you paid for, plain and simple. That you're happy to return this first set of cards and that you expect the new cards to be reprinted in RUSH time due to their mistake.

Plain and simple.

i went through the same thing! my thamk yous were going to be the same way and iasked to have ictures fixed like photoshop and add different pictures and they wouldnt do it so i did my thank us on my own through kodak and everyones raving about them. the thank yous came with my package so i lost out but when i go for my album in hoping they reimburse me or give me extra pics in my album or something... what photog did you use?
