i am so annoyed! i went to ss to change my name 2.5 weeks ago with a friend of mine. their computers were down so they were making copies of everything and doing it by hand but couldnt give you a receipt but assured us it would be fine. well she got her ss card and i still didnt get mine so i called to ask about it and they have NO RECORD of me having been there and i have to do this all over again!!! i am SO annoyed

Well, at least they didn't give you a different name completely!
That stinks though that they have no record of you being there. Hopefully it will be a quick trip.
