I am sure that no one will care, but.....

today is my 1 year anniversary. I cannot believe that it is 1 year already. The year went so fast, I can't believe the changes that have occurred over the year. We have had some really sad times, but many happy and exciting times in the past year. I can't believe how friendships, places and people change in 1 year.

We lost 2 friendships this year, I was truly sad about them in the beginning and then we were introduced to 2 other amazing couples, that I am so truly grateful that God has brought them into my life. They are the most amazing friends that ANYONE could ever have. We feel like we have known them forever and it has only been a short time. Instead of me always having to run and do my friends they are there to help us out and that is so completely new and foreign to me! It is great!!!

We had the miscarriage, probably the low of the low of the year. I can't say that I am totally passed it, but it did bring me closer to my hubby then I ever thought possible. I had no idea that we could be closer.

We bought our AMAZING house. I just love it!!! This morning the former homeowner's daughter came by to drop of some stuff and couldn't believe how much work we have done to it an how incredible it looks!! I am so happy and content to finally have our own home. To not have to pay rent or live underneath the psychos that we were living under is so priceless.

My cat, which had gotten really sick again the day before my miscarriage, is healthy and thriving again. She is my true furbaby and can't imagine not having her in my life.

We lost 1 family member this year. It was sad, and the family events that surrounded it were not good. But it did bring together some family members that had not talked in many years so that they are now back in touch and renewing there familial bond.

Work has been amazing this passed year! (I know what does this have to do with US as a couple and what we have been through in a year, but my students are my babies and their problems and worries I internalize, so they do become our problems) I was blessed with the nicest most senstive group of children that I have EVER had!! They were just great human beings and they have truly touched my soul!


That is just some that I am thinking about this morning!! Tonight we are going to dinner at Desmonds and I CANNOT wait!!!! The food is soooooo amazing there. When my MIL called this morning, she said you are going there for your anniversary, I am so completely jealous!!!!

Well, first let me say happy anniversary.

I just want to also say how it is so great that you take everything in stride.

even though you have had some unpleasant events in the past year, it is clear to me that you focus on the positive, and are not afraid to look for the good in the bad.

I m certain that you & your Dh will have many many more happy years to come.

Happy Anniversary Jamie!! Wow time sure does fly. Congratulations on all the wonderful things you and your husband have accomplished this year. You should definitlely be proud!! As for the bad things that happened this year, I am sorry, but realize that everything happens for a reason and in due time everything will work itself out!! I am so happy for you!! You are right...so much has happened in your first year of marriage...but, you are strong and you will prevail. It sounds like you are truly content with where you are and you really deserve being happy.
