*jumps up and down wildly* I am extremely excited. My hubby and I purchased time share in St. Marteen in 2000 and we never used it, so we decided to use it for our one year anniversary. Since we will be using our home resort it is at no cost to us. All we have to do is pay our airfare YIPee, I am so excited I just had to share. We will be going from Aug 2 thru Aug 9th. The great thing about this place is that its brand new and when we purchased it, it was just being built, they are almost 70% done and I am so excited. Here are some pictures.
Here is a view of the rooms
This is the entrance, which looked nothing like this when we first visted

Re: I booked our anniversary trip
Why are you all trying to make me feel bad, now I will have to re-calculate to see how many of you can fit in my suitcase....NOT...hubby would not want that at all
Junebride04, This place is called Oyster Bay Beach Resort, it is on the Dutch side. St Marteen is very nice and the jewelry is awesome, the liquor is cheap. A very beautiful island too, you can take a day trip to the neighboring island St Barts. The countdown has begun

Re: I booked our anniversary trip
We found out about St. Barts on the day we were scheduled to leave, don't worry now we are seasoned St Marteen traveller, we even rented scooters to ride around the entire island which took us all of 30 mins We like it there so much, so peaceful. What a great place to get engaged. Congrats.

Re: I booked our anniversary trip
Oh Shamma I like I like. For our one year anniversary we plan to go to Jamaica. Although now our friends are getting married in Jamaica November so we may just wait and go in November. We can't afford to go twice a year.

Re: I booked our anniversary trip
Wow, Shamma, your plans sound awesome! The timeshare looks beautiful. How exciting!!!!!
I'm another St. Martin fan...we spent our honeymoon on the French side and on Anguilla. I'd highly recommend taking the Marigot ferry over for a visit-it's a quick ride over and definitely worth it!
Is there any room in that suitcase for me??
Enjoy!!

Re: I booked our anniversary trip
Shamma ... that place looks great! I saw it when I was searching online for timeshare places, my parents have two weeks in Aruba but they always give us their time!
For our one year ... we will probably go to Aruba ... Playa Linda Resort but that all depends on Hawaii ... we may go to Hawaii in October (hubby is a CFP and that's where the conference is this year). If we plan on going to Hawaii, we'll probably just do a weekend thing for our anniversary (Not enough funds to do everything )!
I'm so happy that your happy and you planned your trip!
