I cant believe what im doing right now

We ordered our xmas tree online (never saw it in person) because they were having huge pre-season sales. So, I get it delivered today and I have until December to return it. So I'm now sitting in my living room assembling a CHRISTMAS TREE in the middle of OCTOBER to decide whether or not we like it and want to keep it What a PITA I have pine needles all over my carpet and I'm freakin arranging the little branches all in the right direction....its taking forever and i'm hating christmas already all because of this stupid tree

THAT SUUUUUUCKS! That's positively the WORST part of xmas- putting up the damn tree I love every second of it once it's done... but actually DOING it- UGH! SUUUCKS! I'd hate to do it TWICE! Better safe than sorry though! How much did ya get it for?

It was a $300 tree that we got for $169....so it seemed worth it. But DH is going to fall over when he comes home and theres a christmas tree being assembled in the living room Its still 80 degrees out!

I would have run the risk that we didn't like it.... I can't stand assembling trees! and ours is fairly small...

I like the pumpkin under the tree idea.

We get a real tree to avoid this dilemma--this way DH carries it and sets it up and I just decorate.

We have had this up since August. On the other side is a mini replics doll of P. Diddy he is holding a sign saying I Love my Diddy

Im sure it will look beautiful!
We always put ours up the day after thankgiving so Im getting all happy thinking tht our xmas tree is going to bw put up next month!
It really was ALOT of fun!
I didn't think it was a pain at all! I enjoyed every minuet of it and videotaped it too!

haha...we put ours up the day after Thanksgiving too!!!! DH thinks I'm crazy, but thats when my family has always put ours up.

Hey, I don't know if you are a SATC fan, but Charlotte put her Christmas tree up in July!
Apparently it's an all year tradition now. Hell if it makes you feel any better I'll put mine up too!
I feel if it's not too early for Lowes, to have theirs up it's not to early for us to have ours up!

I can't believe you are putting a Christmas tree up right now!!!! to think it's just over 2 months AWAY....

hi everyone - -
talking of xmas tree sales, I got a good one about 2 years back - - a small (about 2 foot) tabletop lighted one for $5. couldn't resist the price but have 2 tabletop ones already and no place to put another so got the one with orange and gold trim and now have a Thanksgiving tree too!. That goes in the window about Nov 1 and gets traded for xmas decor about Dec 1.
So glad to hear there are other adventurous spirits out there too.

I just LOOOVVEE the idea of a DH coming home and his new wife is decorating their 'Halloween Tree', acting as if this is something she does every October. Im snort-laughing at my desk!!!

If it was my choice, we would have the christmas tree up year round!!!!!!!

Okay DH came home and I had already put the tree away...but now he wanst to see it because he doesnt like 'fake-llooking trees' I'm not putting it up again!!!!!!!! I refuse to put a xmas tree up 3 times this year
