Well, today I found out that the man who played the piano and sang at my wedding ceremony was arrested for the rape of an 11 year old. I am just SICK. I spoke to him at length while planning my ceremony, and I actually admired this man's faith and commitment to the church and his family. If he can behave this way, who can you trust??
OMG!! Hubby and I saw that on the news last night. Sickening!
It is sickening beyond words to begin with but I can see how you can be even more upset when it is someone you actually knew and admired. I know these sick people exist but to think it would be someone I knew (and never would imagine!) would be very disturbing. It can really test your faith. Try not to let it ruin your memory of that part of your day. I really feel for how it must be affecting you. Keep talking the feelings out though. I hope he is put away for a very very long time.
Thanks Elizabeth. Your words really helped. I was talking about it to someone who I consider a good friend, and her response was 'Why do you care? It's not like you had anything to do with that part of his life.' I was bothered by that, but you reminded me that it IS okay to be upset Thanks for your support. : )
This is a scary world, especially these days. These stories we`ve been hearing so much about recenty, regarding adults taking such advantage of innocent children is very disturbing, and I too would find it very troubling if I were in your situation, JennRenee. Definitely don`t be afraid of your feelings on this. When faith and trust are shattered, it`s not an easy thing to deal with.
