i did a job search

on monster and theres nothing to apply for, it seems as though i applied for almost all of the ones i am qualified for!

Its so hard for me to watch Dh go to work, i feel like i'm getting annoyingto him! ugh!

how is everyone else doing?

Good luck... have you searched hotjobs, careerbuilder, etc?

Is it just me (and it probably is!) but are most of the postings on monster seem to be like pyramid scheme, boiler room type companies... I'm not referring to postings from well-known companies, but those seem to be very few on monster... I haven't checked it in a long time, so maybe it's changed!

linda, are you on linkedin? are you searching all the other job boards? simply hired, indeed, hotjobs, careerbuilder, thingamajob, job circle, the DOL's job board??

It's quiet out there but things are picking up I think - more postings ...

A lot of companies are not using monster that much because their listing gets lost and people that are unqualified apply for jobs. It ends up being a waste for them to look through it. Try the other sites Jen recommended and also start going on company sites that you know have HQs here and search their job board!

thanks for the suggestions girls, i'm using career builer and a couple of others, just frustrating!!! I feel like it slowed so much in the last few weeks

have u checked craigslist? i found my job on there.

also make sure to talk to everyone u know and have them check if there companies are hiring or if they know anyone.
