Why do people have to brag and rub crap in peoples face for? I think people who do that get a kick out of it! Its there thrill for the day. It doesnt make you better then anyone!!! No one cares!!!! And if you think your going to make friends that way..............TRY AGAIN!

i know... i hate that. my SIL does it all the time.... but i dont' think she means to... or i hope she doesn't it... it's like yes, i know your DH makes $189 K a year + bonus and you live in a kick-*** house that you were able to buy almost outright and you spent more on your flowers for your wedding than we were able to spend on our entire reception---while we're living in a basement apartment trying desperately to buy a house with the little money we do have....
it's so frsutrating....
i think peopel that do that though are really insecure in other ways... or are not happy or their lives are not as rosy as they seem....

sometimes though it's nice to be able to say I've worked so hard for everything i have and sometimes that can be more gratifying then having everything handed to you on a silver platter...

i agree. while its great to share the fabulous things in our lives, some people can ONLY talk about those things and it makes you wonder if these people are just trying to throw it in your face - after a while you can't think about them without .
i'm all for celebrating everyone's accomplishments and good times, but some people just need to chillout.

I agree. I'm all for it when you've worked really hard to get there but when it's shoved in people's faces a lot, it's annoying. I guess it's also in the way it's done. I don't mind when people are purchasing a house, or big life events like that, I guess it's just the other little things that are repeated allllll the time.

I looove when people talk about all their material stuff and fabulous life...cause then i sit here in my tiny little house, with my unemployed DH & the letter from the IRS saying we apparently owe them a sh!tload of money that we can't pay..and how we haven't been able to afford to take our HM and are just about making our bills...and think...wow...i am so lucky!!!

AWWWW Kathryn!!!! I think you are the POSTER girl for grace under pressure!!!! I know its been tough with Dh's situation, but you still manage to be lovely and funny and helpful, I wish I could pull that off. You and DH have made it through a lot this first year, and are still having fun and enjoying each other, and I give you both for that!!!

i think its more people who just can't say anything without referring to the most recent fabulous aspects of their life and can onnnnnly talk about that.
