I dont get it!!!

So DH and I live on the beach. in a building that is beach front with a pool over looking the beach. We are tight on cash lately and Im trying to not use my credit card unless I absolutly have to. So I pay for things with my checking or in cash. I bought us a 3 pak of mets tickets because DH wants to go to shea before they close it down and it was a great deal of 10 tickets for 3 games for like $120- I got them through work. So that was our splurge for the summer. And Im putting some money away for a weekend trip this fall. he just called and said he bought season passes to splish splash. Why????? Okay I can go once. Thats fine. but Im not leaving the beach this summer to drive an hour or two in traffic to wait in lines all day when I live on the effin beach and have a pool. I dont get it. But now I canceled our weekend trip for the fall. Considering these passes cost what we were going to spend.

have you guys been? We went last year (on a sunday-- BAD IDEA) and I swear, got on maybe 3 rides...
waited for hours in the hot sun to get into the wave pool which I swear I felt the urge to douse mysself in bleach afterwards...

It's not THAT much better during the week...

but i dont get it either. . .i am practically reusing teabags and toilet paper to save up for a house and DH buys those stupid window rain guards for his car. . .

they just think differently. mainly in a stupid way!

Let HIM go to Splish Splash and invite ME over to go to the beach and in the pool

can we give them to other people to use????? Cus Im not using them more than once this year- he can go by himself. So if anyone wants to use them, let me know. We now have 2.

how much are they? I'm sure if you go 3 or 4 times you even out.

I don't know about selling them to someone. you might be able to.

I dont know. And he still believes this was a good idea. Now I have to give up a perfectly relaxing saturday this weekend to go stand in lines all day. I dont really care for water parks. I hate not being able to have a safe place to leave my things. And if the water is cold Im not going on slides. So Ill be sitting on a chair with screaming teens everywhere. Im going to be angry and in a bad mood all day over this. Maybe we can sell them for a discount or something- or Ill sell my ticket and he can go alone.

he said its a little cheaper than going twice. But we still have to spend the gas monmey to go there. And then we will have to buy crap food while we are there. So its still not cheap. And Ill probably be p*ssed while we are there so its really a big waste.

Tell him that you just DON'T WANT TO GO and that it's not a good idea at all. Share the experiences from the posters on here---Splish Splash is horrible! Ask him if he can return the tickets and if not, try to sell them asap.

LOL I told him this already and he said ohhh come on it will be fun! We can go when we go out to Franks in Sag harbor. Ummm we go there once a year because we live on the beach and dont like driving 2 hours to go there. I dont understand what he is thinking. Im thinking of telling him that he and his friend can use them and to leave me out of it. Not only is it a waste of money, but its a waste of time and gas and would take away from my very limited beach days.

I would be so pisssed if I were you. You are a better woman than me... I probably wouldn't go at all!

I dont mind going once, but why does he think we need to go a seasons pass worth of times? Ugh I guess its not a huge deal. i can just take off a day in september to go rather than taking a day off in october to go away for the weekend. Whatever its his loss- we were going to go away for his bday/our 6 year anniversary of being together and now we get to celebrate by going to splish splash. Its going to be oh so romantic!
