It as yesterday and I KNEW in my subconcious and even wrote it on my calnder but I am AWFUL with days..I will remember DATES but actual calender days I suck at...rarely know what day it is, sad but true. And the worse part is he CALLED to speak to my husband and they chatted for awhile and I said to myself 'Hmm I need to talk to him but why?'
I feel soooo sooo sooooo bad right now. I NEVER forget his birthday!!!!! And now the guilt is sinking in REALLY deep....I'm a super self-guliter...not going to be a good day especially cause I know his feelings were hurt but he will never say anything to me about it-just act like nothing happened.

Re: I feel awful!
OMG Jenn, this happened to me last year with my younger brother's birthday!!! It was like a couple of weeks before the wedding and we were out shopping for our new place and it was a crazy day. I KNEW it was his birthday, I had it on a calendar, even told my friends I would need to pass by his house to wish him a happy bday, but that day I just forgot! My DAD called me at 10pm and was like, ummmm did you forget your brother's birthday? I felt like such an assssss.
But things happen!!!!!!! Call him and wish him a happy birthday. I don't think lying is good, but maybe to make it feel like less of a blow to HIM, you can say you think today's 3/2?

awwwwwwwww it's okay sweetie, we're all human! my brother forgot my parents anniversary this past week and i emailed him to make him feel bad....not too sure how that relates to you, but i just thought i'd share!
jk! let's see...you already called him, you feel bad about the whole thing, i say you make him something to express how sorry you are/how happy you are that he's one year older and finally to rid yourself of the guilt! it could be something simple...like a collage of pictures or a pretty poem. it doesn't take much and it's the thought that counts! you'll feel better, i promise!

Re: I feel awful!
its okay, Jenn. you didnt intentionally try to hurt him. i mean we have all done this or things like this before. i sure have. we get busy, things slip the mind, etc.
can you think of something special that he really enjoys and send it to him or something?
no worries!!!

Aww, Jenn, don't beat yourself up all day about it. (I know, easier said than done.) You're only human-it's okay. And I'm sure your Dad is ok about it.
