I feel so bad for my bro and SIL

First, last week they find out their photographer, Queens Bridal went out of business and has all their pictures. Then, and this is the worst, on Monday my SIL parents house went on fire and they lost everything!!!!!!! It is horrible, and my SIL wedding dress and wedding presents were at the house! Their 1 year anniversary is next month and I want to something special and nice for them, - do you have any suggestions? TIA!!

I don't really care....They lost even the wedding presents I and other people bought them so I was thinking of buying them their china, but I don't even know if they want that anymore!

wow!! that is just so terribly sad!! I would have to say you might want to wait befovre you go out and buy them their china or gifts like that, if they were storing it at your SIL's mom's house then they prob. don't have room for it where they are. Perhaps take up a collection from whomever wants to contribute and get them a gift card where they were originally registered? so sorry for them!!

Can you afford to send them on a mini trip? Sounds like they need to get away and relax..

Those are definately good suggestions...I am going to talk to my sis and my parents to see if they wanna go in with me .. I think, because they are preoccupied with the house fire, I am going to work on getting their pictures back!

wow that is horrible news. i am soo sorry to hear about there wedding pictures and then toboot even worse the fire. i agree with sugarkube4 maybe a nice weekdn getaway right now woould be good. so they can try to relax and enjoy themselves.

Maybe you can just give her all of your wedding gifts?
I know that sounds extreme....but I wouldn't know what else to do!

That is awful! I agree with Dayna, see if maybe you can do a mini vaca for them-even if its not far from them-so they can get away

That is awful! Thank God no one was hurt in the fire

The trip sounds like a good idea or maybe a couples spa day would be nice and relaxing.

omg how awful. You're a wonderful sister for wanting to do something special for them I agree with the other ladies - a nice little getaway sounds like just what they need. How about sending them off on a 4-5 day cruise or something like that?
