I feel violated

http://www.news12.com/LI/topstories/article?id=212833

I dont know if any of you saw this. But this is the ball field that my kids play little leauge at. We go to this field like a second home every year. I dont know why its upsetting me as much as it is. But it scares the crrap out of me. This is a fun safe place that no longer feels safe. all the little kids that play on the play ground there etc. You get to know all the families and whatever but this is just insane.

06/11/08) LEVITTOWN - An 18-year-old man is accused of some bizarre bathroom behavior in Hicksville.
Police say the incident happened Monday evening at the Red Devils field on Jerusalem Avenue. According to police, Sean Satewicz, of Levittown, followed a 9-year-old girl into the bathroom there.

Officials say Satewicz tried to force the girl to use the bathroom in front of him. Police say the girl was able to escape and alert her parents.

Satewicz was arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree burglary.

Satewicz's father says his son has fetal alcohol syndrome and was simply trying to use the bathroom and meant the girl no harm.

any one w ho knows me knows baseball is my spring summer my little guy lives and breaths for his time on this field. It is such a 'happy' place for so many kids. It makes me ill. The poor girl and her parents. and to say the boy didnt mean any harm he just wanted to use the bathroom? its two single stall bathrooms one male one female. He locked her in the bathroom and tried to force her to remove her pants and under wear and pee infront of him. It was the ladies room. Not the mens room .

I agree...it's terrible for that little girl, but random awful things happen everywhere, if we stopped going places bad things happened once in a while, we'd all have to stay home.

True....

I was told about another story the other day that made me really sad.... I can't find it online, but it was that a girl & her mom were at Home Depot and she turned around and her daughter was gone. The woman was talking to a Home Depot employee who immediately called it in, they locked down the store and found the girl in the bathroom with new clothes on, her head halfway shaved & her old clothes in a bag... I don't know if they found the creep - but it's REAL quick....

WOW....That literally gave me chills. My hairs are standing out. I don't know what i would do if my kid went missing..that has to be the scariest feeling in the world. Kelly it sitnks that this happened but at least the kid is ok. Time to make new memories to replace the bad ones.

I feel soririest for the kids because this will scare them or at the very least, make them aware of things we don't wnat them to be aware of yet.

Satewicz's father says his son has fetal alcohol syndrome and was simply trying to use the bathroom and meant the girl no harm

if he was trying to use the bathroom, u should've waited until the bathroom was free or use the men's room. i hope the girl is ok

Don't places like that have a woman's and men's room? I remember going to the field on Loring RD and they have both bathrooms. If that field did have both then the guy sure knew what he was doing. No excuses.
