I gave the 8 NY Senators who voted against gay marriage a piece of my mind!

If anyone wants to write them, I posted their email addresses on my facebook this evening.
Here is the letter I wrote:
Dear Senators,
Thanks to the social networking site Facebook.com, I was able to get these email addresses. I write to you as a tax paying, law abiding, proud citizen of New York City...I am deeply saddened to learn that the bill to propose gay marriage had been rejected. Today is mine and my husbands' 2 month anniversary of our wedding day. When I think of what an amazing time of my life being engaged was, and how truly beautiful married life is turning out to be and what it will continue to evolve into, I find it hard to believe that in a state such as New York, with Manhattan being the epicenter of ther performing arts, fine arts, fashion, music, and design industries, that this was rejected. The industries that make New York what it's known for are comprised of mainly gay men and women. To not give everybody a fair chance is absolutely insane. EVERY BODY deserves the right to be married. Not passing this bill makes homosexuals 2nd class citizens and it's completely unfair to not give them equal opportunity.
Frankly I find it embarrasing that states that I personally consider to be more conservative have approved and passed this law. Why haven't you?
At almost 31 years old,for my entire life I have had many gay friends. To think that my friends cannot have the same legal rights as I do is incredibly saddening.
I want my voice to be heard, and to let you know how much I completely disagree with this decision.
Sincerely, Jen
