i hate DMV

so, i started out at social security. not bad. in and out and the lady was very nice. changed name to kimberly/maiden name/last name.

i go right over to the DMV, wait for an hour and a half. then the lady tells me i cant make my maiden name my new last name. so my license will read:
kimberly/middle name/last name.

now what?!?!

i didnt even want to change my name in the first place. but now my cards wont even match. thats not good! i have to get this fixed, but id ont even know wht to do!

I know it was something the DMV used to do. Would they allow you to make it at least your middle initial?
What if you went with your new SS Card when you get it and have it changed to match?
