People get so defensive about vendors and put down other vendors while promoting their own which ***** since other people use their services and are happy with them. And to tell people 'you get what you pay for' is rude in my opinion. Sometimes, yes that is the case. if you buy a 50' plasma screen TV for $50, guess what, chances are something is wrong with it. But to say I paid $500 for make-up and you paid $100 so I'm getting the better service is wrong IMO

ITA i think there is a nice way of saying things. I think that people might feel bad if they cant afford that. You dont want someone to think that since they are paying less, their makeup wont look as good. Its discouraging.

i agree with what you are saying - i hope i didn't come across that way - i don't think i did since i basically said i went on a trial with maureen pedala who is even more expensive than m-i-a and i went with the cheaper vendor (m-i-a) b/c i thought she was better and i also said that if you find someone you love that is cheaper than you should absolutely book them - i went on a lot of make up trials - some were expensive vendors and some were not expensive at all but i loved how m-i-a did my make up and i didn't care how much she was going to charge me b/c i was so happy i found someone i loved

i hope nobody thought i was being biznatchy!

ITA, I think some peole get caught up in what a lot of what other LIW brides are doing. I know I did at some points in the wedding process. If I could've afforded M ia or the pedala sisters, I would've just went with them. Instead, i went with my own hair person who did my hair and makeup for 200, and I got what I wanted.

It's a personal decision...to each his own. What is expensive to one person, may not be to another.

I think it's pretty obvious that she comes on and reads the reviews. People have been raving about her so she probably felt she could raise her prices.

YES, thank you. that is what I was trying to say. I paid $100 for my make-up and my photographer came over to me at least 5 or 6 times to tell me how well my make-up was photographing and how talented my makeup artist was. I absolutely loved my make-up and don't think i got 'short changed' because I didn't pay an obsene amount of money. I'm also not putting down girls that did pay a lot of money. I think everyone should so what THEY want. if they had 10 trials and only liked the one that cost $1,000, then they should go with that b/c that is what THEY want. but to pay that much and then turn around and tell people 'well, you get what you pay for' is just obsurd.

If it's pulled it's because of the fact that prices are given and disputed against a certain vendor...I don't think anyone said anything bad.
