when they ask you to broil something in the oven does it broil in the oven part or is the the little draw under the stove?
i have electric oven it that makes a difference
i have pots and pans in that draw lol

depends on your oven. do you have a broil setting - put that on and see what gets hot LOL
broil just means that you are heating from above ONLY usually at a high temp
so in mine that means putting it all the way on the top shelf - my mom's old oven used to haev a drawer underneath.

lol its not dumb...
I have an electric oven too and the bottom drawer is where i store my pots and pans (no heat goes there)...I just leave the dish in the oven and press the broil button and it just starts broiling...
In my parents house they have gas, with that I had to put it on the bottom drawer to broil...

it depends on the oven. My drawer under the stove is a warming tray although I use it as storage. My broiler is inside (on the top) of the oven. Turn on your broiler and if you see a flame on the top or bottom of the oven then you're broiler is inside the oven

An electric oven would not have a pilot light.
To answer your question, I don't think that drawer is meant for cooking. It's probably a warming drawer.

lol thanks girls!! it was just a draw!! but i burnt my fries lol!! dh ate them anyway :)
