it's not exactly icing, but fondant. often it's a rolled sugar dough that you can press designs into and cut out shapes using the same cookie cutter you used to make the cookie. michaels always has it, and then you can buy edible glitters and petal dusts to add shimmer and shine and accent color. :o)

Oh I know that. I've worked with fondant many times! I'm interested since it wasn't disgusting, as Wilton fondant is!

I have to confess - I ate mine that night. I gave up cookies & cake for Lent & figuring I let myself be bad @ the luncheon by having a small piece of cake then it was ok to eat the cookie too & then go back to what I gave up on Mon. Problem is - someone gave me their extra cookie - I offered it to DH but he didnt want it so I ate 2 cookies that night
But damn, they were tasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were very buttery, I liked that! I'm not a big fondant person, but I liked the cookie itself, tasted almost like a Lorna Doone (sp?) and I love those!

Melissa the Sugar Chic is freaking AMAZING!! I have to admit I had two cookies. I ate one the day they arrived!! She said I could!!! hahaha she made a few extra. I just ate my luncheon one today! It was STILL delicious!!! She can make cookie favors in a million different shapes and colors and is very reasonable.

I loved my cookie. I ate it on my drive home (which took 2+ hours because of all the closed roads). It was my snack to tide me over until dinner, as if I didn't already eat enough.

I love love love Melissa. She makes me cookies all the time. I had her make DH a cookie bouquet for his bday, bc he loves her cookies too.
her fondant is by far the best i have ever had!

she makes the best cookies!!!! I loved the ones at TWOTY and the ones at the luncheon were sooo good. I think I'm going to have to look into her for my sisters showers for the summer
