I just booked our trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going to New Orleans from April 3 - 6!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited it me, DH and SIL going.

Has anybody been there??? Any suggestions???

Oh man! I'm super jealous! We were there in the summer before and after our cruise (we cruised out of New Orleans). Definitely Cafe Du Monde for beignets and cafe au lauts. And if you like oysters you NEED to go to Acme Oyster House....insanely good!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pack me in your suitcase, I'm dying to go back!!!!! You can drink on the street...say no more!

Its my favorite place in the whole world and where I went for my baclorette party! amazing.

As Danielle suggested check out Cafe du Monde. Its all great, but totally take a tour of the Garden District on foot since you need to take in the beauty slowly, visit the Lafayette Cemetry in the Garden District, go on a Swamp tour, so fun!

Hang out in Jackson Sqaure Park, just sit on the grass and walk around on Royal Street and check out all the beautiful shops.

Go to Pat O'Briens and have a Hurricane. Get Hand Granades at the Tropical Isle.

Visit Audobon Park with its beautiful trees and hanging spanish moss.

i love it there!

LOVE LOVE LOVE it there!

Do as much as possible! Go on the tours.... visit the plantation houses... do the swamp tour thingy on the boat....and go to ALL the bars!! LOVE that place!!

make sure you go to LaFitte's blacksmith shoppe... it's the oldest one in the US!!! MUST go!!!

The ghost tour was cool... so was the vampire tour.

We didn't get to do the cemetery one but really wanted to.

we did the oak alley plantation house... its a really famous one... def check it out.

cafe du mondt - coffee and benays soo spelled wrong.. but it's FAB!!!!

o neils.. they have good hurricanes and a cool outside area. also supposed to be haunted. haha!! but everywhere in the french quarter is haunted!! haha!!

there's sooo much you can do.

i'm SOO jealous!! this is one of my FAVORITE places everrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and take the trolley ride...

you can go to a place called Cooter Browns for food and drinks! that's a more local spot.. they wrote Yanks **** on the bathroom walls.. it's pretty funny!!!!

My a$$ loves New Orleans, as you can see....

We went in August 08 for a wedding and had such a great time just wandering around Burbon St (and we're not drinkers -- but the food was excellent!). Gotta get some muffalotta (sp?) while you're there!

Maybe do a cooking class if you can? Or a segway tour? I wish we'd done a segway tour there! We did one in Paris on our HM and it was the best time EVER!!!!!! You can see so much in such a short time and it's super fun!

The aquarium is great, as is the insectarium (insect museum!) -- so fun!!!!

You're going to have a blast!
