Yeah I am not sure I want to preserve mine yet! I just feel like I am going to want to take it out and look at and wear it! Plus I dont trust this whole preservation thing!
So - I actually just put it on again last night and it was so fun! I was standing there giggling!
Why dont you do a day after shoot? Maybe Dancingmaazzoff would do one for you? Are you guys friends? Love her pics she took of you...they came out awesome!

YES that was totally me!!! but i realized after trying on my moms dress that had not been preserved and not having the choice to wear it i was a bit disapointed i didnt have the option i would have loved to!... so i really want to preserve it for my future daughter/ god daughter to have the option to wear when their day comes!

I called a place for preservation
They do couture gowns and it was going to be about 600-700 to preserve and clean it
I seriously cant spend that much on something i will never wear
i am afraid if i bring it to a regular cleaner they will screw it up
ALso they told me that if i get it preserved i can never keep it in my attic or garage, it has to be in a controlled temp environment
I really dont know where i would put that huge box
Wow 600-700 sounds like a lot! But then, your dress was amazing so that's why I'm guessing? Mine was about $200 through wedclean, and i got the extra insurance, so they would do it for $170 or so I think....
I still havent had mine done

You could do 'trash the dress' but not the kind with paint, the kind were you go on the beach, in the water, in the city, etc....cleaning can get all that stuff out! So you could do that and then get it cleaned and preserved!
I am bad, both my dress & veil are sitting in a garment bag at the bottom of my closet. DH's step mother has volunteered to pay to have it preserved, but for some reason I haven't taken her up on that.

ya know the other night me and Gar went out for a few drinks and I was a little tipsy....
I came home and pranced around in my dress for like 15 min. He was hysterical!!!![]()

i felt the same way!! i wore it around the house a couple of times!! it took me a good 5 months to finally get it cleaned and preserved!!
