my DH is soooo good to me! Last night I was starting to feel really homesick all of a sudden. I guess because I had just talked to my sisters (who I'm super close with) and I really started missing home and the family. It's difficult being SO far from everybody. So he noticed that I looked a little down and came over to hug me & to talk about it. He was so sweet, wiping my tears away and promising that he'll get me back to NY as soon as we can afford it and all of that. It really made me feel so much better just how much he cared, ya know? Well, I was fine today - the homesickness came and passed. But when he got home from work, he surprised me with a beautiful single red rose. I was so surprised (since it's not Valentines Day yet. lol). But he said that seeing me sad really got to him. He doesn't like not being able to 'fix' my problems. Awww. So we put the flower in a vase, and he agreed that it looks lonely and may need some more friends to join it hehe.
Why is it that a FLOWER can make me feel so happy? It's probably the gesture of it all. I love that man. He's the best. (just had to share)

oooh i'm so glad u posted this cassandra! so glad he's treating u so great some girls aren't into the whole flower thing - but i'm such a sucker for them! they just make me happy enjoy ur rose & give the dh lots of extra lovin'

me too - i am such a flower person. They seem to light up a whole room and it just means so much to me to receive them. He really is taking good care of me - and yesss, i certainly did give him 'lots of extra lovin' after that. lol.

Ahhhh!!! And then he came home TODAY with a Calla Lilly (my FAVORITE kind of flower). How sweet is that?

I know what you mean...the other night I was anxious to see DH and he came home with a little monkey from cvs that whistles and says 'i go bananas over you' ...now I play it at least once before I go to work in the morning.

it was!! i had cooked dinner but had to let it sit and get cold while I waited for him ...his father is in the hospital in manhattan and he was on his way back from there so it's not like I could be mad at him...I was just hungry and lonely and it's like he knew it...he just walked in with that monkey

awwwwwww.... that's how i was today also. I began getting so frustrated for a bunch of little things, like the garage door broke, and then I never got the W2 forms that were mailed to me and was fearing that they got stollen in the mail. So i was just getting anxious - and then he walks in with that flower. Just that one small act of kindness made me feel soooo much better!
