Re: I know I should be working....

It's amazing how no matter how many times I've gone or how often I go, I get so excited! My mom, sister and I actually had a whole conference call while I was online making the reservations because we want to eat so many places!

Oh yeah - and we made reservations for the Hoop De Doo Music Revue because we're nerds. We went with my mom and dad on our first ever trip to Disney in 1978! Haven't been since, but I remember loving it as a kid!

Re: I know I should be working....

We are eating at:

San Angel Inn (Mexico)
California Grill (Contemporary during the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom)
Tutto Italia - Italy
Teppan Edo - Japan (the hibachi restaurant)
Coral Reef - Living Seas in Epcot
Raglan Road in Downtown Disney
and the Hoop De Doo Music Revue!

We still have a few more we want to pick.

It's so hard narrowing it down because I love all the food there!

DH and I are going back in either August or November though.

Where did you pick?

Re: I know I should be working....

Gina - you're not rambling at all - it's 2 of my favorite subjects: Disney and Food!

Pecos Bill's in the MK is one of my favorite places! It's a tradition that we eat lunch there the first day we get there. My first ever ride at Disney when I was a kid was Pirates and then we had lunch there - so it brings back happy memories.

We tried to get into the Prime Time Cafe for lunch one day and couldn't get a reservation.

We always do the Crystal Palace and Ohana for breakfast too. (I love the Tonga Toast!)

DH and I both love Chef Mickeys! We go nuts. He asked me not to go there without him

We did Hoop De Doo last time we were there and LOVED IT! So much fun! I'm super jealous! I love Disney! No Cinderella's Castle though? I am not a super girly girl but there's just something about being called 'Princess' while you eat that just gets me!

Re: I know I should be working....

I LOVED Hoop De Doo growing up!!! We used to go every year with my parents before they got divorced! It was always a dream of mine to be that couple on our HM there since they're so sweet and give you so much attention (from what I remember... my last time going was 18 years ago!).

When we went to DW last year for my 30th bday (this week last year -- it was MISERABLE and crowded bc of easter) we didn't have time to go there. You're going to have so much fun!!!!!!!!

My favorite place to go is the Land Grille Room. I know it's silly, but it's a character meal which I love, and I enjoy the different scenes. Plus I'm huge into that whole organic / natural / local markets eating so it's really ME.

Mexico is such a fun place to eat!

We did the 50s Prime Time Cafe for my bday last April. <3

The best meal we had, though, had to be at the Liberty Tree Tavern!!!!!!!!! We did it the first night we were there and made our reservations so we were there during the electric lights parade (or whatever it's called these days) so we could actually see the parade glisten through the windows. The food there is amazing and they just treat you so well. I highly recommend it if you want a place to dine at MK.

Next time we go, I want to try to get back to the Yacht Club because I remember there being a fab restaurant there. Also want to try to go to the Living Seas restaurant if it even still exists...

GOSH! Does anyone else remember when you used to stop by Communicore on your way into EPCOT to make dining reservations on your way into the park that day????? And the lady would pop up on the TV with her head piece and you got to see her and stuff? Then she'd display your reservations on the monitor for you and it was so ridiculously high-tech!

Sorry, I'm having a moment here...

LOVE DISNEY WORLD!!!!

OK - so now I need to have a good dessert! I swear I'm going to have to pay extra baggage fees on the way home just for my a$$!
