Hi Ladies. I can always come here and count on plenty of great responses, so Thank you in advance... I need to know what place(s) have a large selection of bridesmaids dresses. I am going to start looking in November. I would like the ladies to wear different dresses (so they feel comfortable), the same material, same color. I am asking here because obviously, you have all went for dresses already Thank you.

Jenn,
I only had a MOH, she got her dress at David's. RK also has a fairly large selection of BM dresses

Hi Jenn! I had 3 in my bridal party and after looking around, we ended up in David's (in Long Island City on Northern Blvd.). They had a big selection in every size (which was important since I had 3 totally different sizes) and they picked out a dress (I picked the color) they all liked and looked good on all sizes and the best part, only cost $130 plus tax, with wrap!!! We had no problems there either.

Re: I know I'll get a great answer here
I would try the Bridal Building in NYC. about 2 blocks from the LIRR. they open at 9am on saturdays and there are a good 10 showrooms where you can try on dresses (and negotiate!). I bought my BM dresses at Helens Bridal I think on the 12th FL. Ben is the owner there, nice guy. One thing I thought was great, they only charged like $10 or $15 each for shawls and gloves, most stores charge like $70 for a shawl ! I like the BB because its kinda like going to ten bridal stores in one building. I think we paid $160 for dresses that went for over $200. everyone was very happy, and all the girls were able to go on their own time for fittings, etc. their website is bridalbuilding.com.
Good luck !

Re: I know I'll get a great answer here
Paradise Bridals (Patchogue) and the Wedding Center (Commack) had the largest selections I saw.
We picked out the dresses in the stores and ordered online - saved from $50-75/dress.

The Commack Wedding Center has a HUGE selection, and found them to be the best prices. Even if you just bought the dresses there, and had them altered somewhere else, which is what my girls did, because they all live far from the place.

Another vote for Commack Wedding Center! I did my searching there because of their huge selection, but purchased the dresses elsewhere.
