I know there is a receipe board... but I made delicious sweet and sour meatballs and it was so easy!!!!

I am getting so sick and tired of making the same thing week after week, so i made these great sweet and sour meatballs and just had to share becuase there are not many ingredients and it tasted like you were cooking all day!!!

1 jar of traditional marina sauce
1 16 oz can of cranberry sauce ( jelly kind)
2 lbs. of chop meat... I also mixed this with ground turkey
1 egg , beaten
seasoned bread crumbs


Take sauce and cranberry sauce and melt together in a saucepan, bring to a slow boil, and bring it down to medium, let simmer. take meat, and egg, and breadcrumbs , combine to make meatballs, put in sauce, cover and cook for about 45 minutes or until meatballs are done. serve with rice.

I made this tonite for me and DH, I will let everyone know how he likes it, I tried it and it was yummy. This is good for one of those nites you just do not want to cook too much.

I got the receipe from my sister's MIL and my DH's best friends wife . It was so good. Dh loved it!

I made this last night. I think I used too much marinara. It was still a bit tomato-y tasting IMO but DH LOVED IT. Next time I'll use a bit less marinara. But thanks for the recipe I'll use it again.

I am glad your Dh loved it. I added a little bit of water to mine, I do not like things acidy, and some more cranberry sauce. I guess it is just a matter of taste.

I have been saving this and modified to make as a meatloaf tonight -- I will report back after dinner.

I use equal amounts of Chili sauce and grape jelly for my sweet and sour sauce. It comes out great. I buy the frozen cocktail meatballs and serve them as appetizers.

I make mine with marina sauce and grape jelly.

This is what I do! I put it all in my crockpot - they are delicious!!!
