I have been wearing only my wedding band for the longest time. I love the look of my set together, but I just think it's too much on my finger and I don't like how my ering looks on my right hand. I feel bad that my hubby spent so much on my ering, and I'm not even wearing it. But I just like the simple look of my wedding band.
Anyone else feel like this? Is it rude of me NOT to wear my ering too?

Re: I like it better......am I weird?
I actually dont like my wedding band alone, so I always wear them together, but if I did just like it alone I think DH would be pretty upset that I wasnt wearing my e-ring.
But, my mom is a lot like that. She only wears her e-ring when she goes out to dinner, drinks, a party, etc. Only when she drsses up. For every day use, she just wears her wedding band. My dad doesnt mind at all

I also really like the look of it alone. Kristy i agree with you its just too much on one finger for everyday...side note:(i cant believe were complaining about this lol) Its not that i dont like the look of them, quite the contrary i love how it looks together, but I like to wear both when i go out on weekends or out to dinner and things like that. If im just going to go to the supermarket or something i am definitly not wearing both.

Since we moved to China we actually left my engagement ring in my parent's safe at home. I MISS IT! I got to 'visit it' while I was home for a few weeks. But I do love the way my wedding band looks on its own. As does DH. I think he'd like me to wear my e-ring on my right hand and my wedding band on my left hand. But I love them together too.

I think that's what I'll do too......just wear the ering when I go out on weekends, dinners, or special occassions........It's just too much for everyday wear......
I know, can you believe we're complaining about wearing diamonds!!!!!! lol lol lol

Your moving to China!? That's so cool! Are you or your husband in the military?

Not weird at all! I am doing the exact same thing....I wear my band all the time. I think I've worn my ering twice since my wedding. i love it, just don't feel like wearing it all the time. Its too much for me. The band is just so classy looking on its own...I love it!

Nope. It's funny though that most people think we must be in the military to have moved here. They assume there is a base here. But the US and China don't really have the best relationship- so there are no bases here. My husband is in a development program that moves us every year for three years. We thought we'd only be moving within the US but then they surprised us with Shanghai (we later found out our other option was Fargo, ND- I think we made the right decision even though I'm not so happy in China). In March we'll move to Charlotte, NC and we're both VERY excited about that.

For every day house work, supermarket, etc. I wear a thin plain white gold band that matches my ering and wedding band. When I at work or out to dinner, etc. I wear my ering and diamond band. I don't like wearing them during housework b/c I'm scared a stone will become loose!

I totally don't think it's rude or weird!!! It's your finger and your rings so wear whatever you want to!!!!!

Re: I like it better......am I weird?
My wedding band was custom made to fit my engagement ring and therefore looks terrible alone!!!!! It's slanted down and looks like a big mistake unless I wear them together. But I also love my e-ring and don't ever want to take it off.

I feel the same way, I wear my wedding band alone sometimes. I love how it looks alone & it's thick enough to be substantial on its own. And I think it's more comfortable on my hand that way too. But I also love how it looks with my engagement ring so I wear them together sometimes too. My husband doesn't care either way (as long as I wear the wedding band). So it just depends on my mood for the day.
