I married an idiot

I married an idiot

I come home from work and as I'm getting out of the car, I hear a hissing sound. I can't figure out if it's coming from my tire. I call DH and he comes out, feels around, and finds a hole in the sidewall of my tire. He tells me I need a new tire, but calls his friend who does mechanic work on the side (no, he's not a mechanic). I get annoyed and come in the house. DH comes in and SITS DOWN. I ask what he's doing and he says his friend will be home in a half hour. They'll put the doughnut on my car and I'll have to get a new tire tomorrow or something if his friend can't plug it. WHAT?!? I made him call our tire place where he knows someone to find out they don't close for another half hour. The guy told him to just bring it on down. I swear, if it weren't for me, he wouldn't have half a brain. WHY do we need to consult with friends before doing everything?!?

geez, and guys make fun of girls when we go to the bathroom together.

Sometimes things are better of when you do it yourself.
Look on the bright side - at least your tire didn't blow out or you got stuck with a flat on the way home.

Mine always has to consult his friends too- and they are ALWAYS right.

I wish he would agree with me that easily.

You know the yogurt commercial with the woman on the phone, and the guy's trying to find the key lime pie/apple turnover / chocolate whatever, then she turns and says 'Babe, what are you doing?'.

The woman speaks with my voice, hand to god. My husband even commented on it.

Given his peer group, it never even occurs to him to consult his friends though.
